Advent Sermon Series: “Worth Waiting For”
Nov 30 – Dec 28, 2025
Advent is a season of waiting. It’s a time where we both anticipate the celebration of the birth of Jesus, while we also wait expectantly for his return to fully bring God’s healing rule and reign into our world.
In between now and then, we wait. We wait in traffic. We are waiting for test results. We wait for job offers and promotions. We wait for relationships to be repaired. We wait for help. We wait for hope. We wait for things to change, for things to be different, to be better. And it’s in all these moments of waiting, whether we are aware of it or not, that God is at work in our lives with a desire and a commitment to shape us more and more into the image and likeness of his Son.
But what is our part? What are we to do while we wait that make things better and not worse and who are we to wait with to help make our waiting bearable? Come join us this Advent season as we discover that even though waiting is hard, some things are truly worth waiting for.
