Our Vision

We are a Christian community where transformation is continual, differences are celebrated, and love is central.

Our Mission

To become fully devoted followers of Christ who create communities of grace that heal and transform lives.

Our Values

Christlikeness

We want to be like Jesus, and Jesus gave of himself to love others.

  • How am I making a choice to be like Jesus?

Compassion

We make room for all people recognizing that everyone matters deeply to God and no one is beyond redemption.

  • How am I creating a safe culture to embrace people who are not like me?

Community

We take our next step in our faith journeys in relationships that are marked by truth-telling and love.

  • Am I taking the next step of my spiritual journey with someone else?

Beloved Community

Grace Christian Church’s Vision for Racial Justice
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)

We believe that all people bear the image and likeness of God with equal status. Therefore, all people must be treated with dignity and respect. As followers of Jesus Christ, we condemn racism in every form, conscious or unconscious, individual or systemic, and feel compelled to stand against any attitudes and actions that diminish or harm any persons or group.

We confess as sin preferring our own comfort over the discomfort that comes from speaking against prejudice. We also confess as sin that our hearts have been dull to the suffering of our black and brown brothers and sisters. As one part of our body hurts, we must all hurt. As one part suffers, we must all suffer.

At Grace, we not only pray for a world that is peaceful and just, but we feel called to help bring it about. On every front, we vow to partner with God and other allies to help fashion a world where EVERYONE has an equal opportunity to flourish and thrive.

We commit to listen to the voices and wisdom of those who have experienced the demeaning realities of racism. We also commit to act in the interest of Biblical justice in all the places where God has given us influence. We vow to pray and actively work for God’s kingdom to come and his will to be done on this earth as it is in heaven.
