Get ready for ReNew, the Green VBS. We will reduce, reuse, recycle and ReNew our souls!

We’ll engage in planting projects, learning about caring for the earth, songs, crafts with re-purposed items, games and more!

Kids at ReNew will be visited by a local beekeeper, Lindsey Carroll of Au honey; be introduced to the life cycle of endangered butterflies from Betty Rushton, a former Spring Lake Heights teacher and Monarch butterfly enthusiast; learn about roots from a plant ecologist, Bill Shadel; discover the importance of Creation Care from Joe Lindner; and conclude with a presentation about recycling from Jaye S. Sims, CRP,SRMP,CCCC, Monmouth County, Assistant District Recycling Coordinator.

ReNew VBS will focus on one story, Jesus’ Parable of the Sower, so kids can explore this parable in-depth. Each day at ReNew, kids will hear the entire Bible story (Mark 4:1-9), but then focus on one section of it to discover what the passage means for them and how it relates to caring for God’s creation.

Kids, get ready to get your hands dirty as we ReNew this summer! (ideal for kids 4-11 years old)
