The Beauty of Diversity and the Power of Gratitude

(Gratitude Banquet)

"The Beauty of Diversity and the Power of Gratitude"

In 1621, the Wampanoag people and English settlers along the New England coast had only hardship and death in common. And yet, for three days they came together to give thanks and celebrate life.  In that moment there was great opportunity for harmony, peace, and growth.  Tragically, the moment passed and fear led to rivalry, war, and near extinction of Indigenous populations. Imagine how different history and our world today would be if the generations that came after had seized the opportunity to reject fear and embrace diversity with humble gratitude.  Now we are challenged by a moment in history.  What choices will we make?  Will we seize the opportunity and write a better story for the generations that come after us?

Come join us this week and share a meal, as we consider the words of the Apostle Paul and give thanks for the beauty of diversity and the power of gratitude.
