#8: The Persecuted

#Blessed - Last Sermon in the Series

What does it mean to be blessed & what does a life of blessing truly look like?

Does blessing equate to wealth, power, influence, or success? Does it mean that one will have a relatively pain-free life or one that is immune from deep loss and great suffering? If so, then how does one arrive at blessing? But if not, then what? Is there a certain kind of life that God blesses?

What does it mean to be blessed?

These are the questions we will be exploring over the next 8 weeks as we do a deep dive into the prologue (“Beatitudes”) of Jesus’ very famous Sermon on the Mount.

But be prepared to be surprised because along the way we will discover that a life of blessing (according to Jesus) is likely different from anything we have ever thought or imagined it might be.

Come join us this week as we look at the final beatitude/blessing and understand what it truly means to meet evil with good, oppression with creative resistance, and discover when practiced just how much more powerful love is than fear.
