We the People . . .
We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution (6 wk. class)
In 1787, the delegates of the Philadelphia Convention asserted that “We the People . . . do ordain and establish the Constitution of the United States of America.” That is a lot of responsibility. But who exactly were “the People” in 1787, and who are they today?” And what exactly does the Constitution say? And why do so many of “the People” disagree so strongly about its meaning? Please join us in the final six weeks of a tumultuous election season to learn more about the Constitution of the United States and our relationship to it, and to each other, as citizens.
