The Children’s Ministry of Grace exists to partner with parent in discipling children to become fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ. On Sundays, during the sermon, we offer two age-specific classrooms for children. Spiritual practices, bible stories, wondering questions, prayer, response activities and crafts all draw children closer to Jesus and to each other.
GraceKids also offers a staffed Nursery for infant and toddler care during the entire service, although parents are welcome to have their youngest stay with them during all or part of the service.
All GraceKids teachers are screened and background checked.
By participating in the Sunday worship service, classroom time and special events, children from birth thru fifth grade are welcomed into the community of Grace and the family of God. As children grow in spiritual, emotional and physical maturity we offer ever increasing opportunities for their relationships with Christ and the church to deepen; in Christ-likeness, Compassion and Community.
The PrayGround is a distinctive of GraceKids. Because we value the presence of children in our worship time, all kids and youth participate in our worship service until just before the sermon. Young children are given the option of sitting with their families or spending time at the PrayGround space, participating thru contemplative coloring, reading or quiet play.
BABIES & YOUNG CHILDREN: We strive to provide familiar faces and welcoming surroundings to the youngest members of our church family. Each month is devoted to a different bible story that will be taught in various hands-on ways each week. Right now we are using Group’s Pray ‘n Play curriculum.
The Nursery provides a safe, predictable environment for infants, crawlers and toddlers to begin a relationship with God and His family – the children and adults of the Christian community. The Nursery is open and staffed at the start of each service. While caregivers are available, you are welcome to bring your youngster into the sanctuary for any or all of the worship service.
OLDER CHILDREN: We seek to reach into children’s busy lives with not just another activity, but with the life–changing message of God’s truth. We have two classrooms for older children: K/One (4-1st graders) and Kidmo (2nd – 5th grades). Our lessons feature bible stories, responsive activity time and prayer. Currently we are using the curriculum Life With God for Children that focuses on bible stories and Spiritual Disciplines in a child-appropriate manner.
